This cheese originates from Cyprus, an island in the Eastern Mediterranean, where for centuries it has been a basic food source for shepherds and farmers, who cooked it over an open fire in the mountains.

Our Halloumi is characterized by its freshness and a mild dairy aroma. The flavor is slightly salty, has no acidity, and is marked by a milky taste. It is white, without rind, and has a firm, smooth texture that can be sliced.

It is consumed fresh as an ingredient in salads and breakfasts. It can also be served fried or grilled on a griddle or over coals. Grilled halloumi pairs perfectly with a smooth red wine or an intense white wine.
