Leandro Velázquez

Project

It is Leandro Velazquez's personal project, which arose after his career at Bodegas Salentein and his harvest experience abroad. It started in 2017 with only 600 bottles of Malbec and expanded its portfolio in 2019 by adding more varieties. His wines come from vineyards worked without additives, with low intervention and early harvest, aiming to achieve a style of low alcohol content, good acidity, and fluidity on the palate. On the labels of Solito Va, designer Daniel Favier alludes through the bicycle wheels to a challenge we all have as children: removing the training wheels to learn to ride. Making a metaphorical reference to Leandro's situation, who after working more than 10 years in a traditional winery, left a great winemaking team to move forward alone. The iconic wine of the winery, Tato, pays homage to his grandfather and the help he provided at the beginning of his idea.
